Hi, my name is Adam. I'm 18 years old and am here to share with you my 2 year media blog that has been part of my A-Level course at school. It starts with the making of a Thriller sequence and ends with a Rock'n Roll bash. I hope you enjoy and start creating something extraordinary yourself.

Editing Our Prelim
Our Preliminary Task required editing and in order to do this we used a program called 'Adobe Premiere Pro'. I learnt various aspects of the program in order to fluently understand the editing stage of the preliminary. I learnt that I had to drag the separate clips onto the timeline, in order for them to be viewable and editable. I also learnt that the clips had to be imported from the external folders containing our movie files.
I enjoyed editing a lot as I have had experience with editing by using other programs such as 'MAGIX Movie Maker', however I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about different programs in order to elongate my editing knowledge. The 'Premiere Pro' program was an easy/hard software to learn from, therefore some aspects of it challenging , however after spending time analysing the range of features that it possessed, I have gotten a better understanding of it, even though it isn't the most precise and well-structured software's.
I found it easy to find the shots for the specific parts of the film. We had filmed the whole sequence twice times with different camera angles each time, so all we had to do was just import all of them, and read off the sheet that explained which camera angles were required for each verbal exchange.
If I had to film the task again, I would have read off the sheet and carefully analysed the camera angles used for each line, therefore I would have filmed a lot less, so that it wouldn't have been a hassle trying to find and cut each of the clips to find the right ones. I believe that we worked reasonably well as a group, as we were all obligated to learn how to use the program. We all contributed to editing, and my specific role was to make sure that the clips all cut correctly to the next one and that the storyboard was followed properly.
The 180 Degree Rule

This shows how it is done and that the camera can only be on one side of the actor.
